About the event
About the Universal Worship Service-
The Sufi teacher Hazrat Inayat Khan created the Universal Worship Service out of his desire to see people of all faith backgrounds worshipping together. This multi-faith service is meant to honor and lift up the sacred words and ideas of many traditions to illuminate the common message behind them. During our Universal Worship Service on the solstice, we will celebrate the bounty of the natural world as seen through the lenses of various faith traditions.
About Our Special Guest, Ruth Cutcher-
Ruth has an M/Div in Writing and Spirituality from the Earlham School of Religion. Her spiritual orientation draws from meditative practices like Vipassana meditation and Quaker waiting worship as well as body based practices like the Dances of Universal Peace. An avid gardener, Ruth gleans spiritual sustenance from her daily interactions with the natural world.
